Delegation of Nepali organizations visited TYM

Ngày 15/8/2022, đoàn các tổ chức về tài chính vi mô Nepal đã đến thăm hoạt động TYM tại Trụ sở chính, Hà Nội.

On August 15, 2022, a delegation of Nepalese microfinance organizations visited TYM’s activities at the Head Office, Hanoi.

Leading the delegation was the leader of the Center for Self-help Development (CSD). CSD was the first non-governmental microfinance institution in Nepal to be licensed by the Central Bank of Nepal to operate in microfinance in 1993. CSD started the Self-Help Banking Program (SBP) following the model of Grameen Bank of Bangladesh. Currently, CSD focuses on training and research in the field of microfinance and cooperates with a network of 45 microfinance institutions nationwide. Other members are senior leaders of 4 other organizations, namely Mirmire MFI, Mithila MFI, Baudhha Grameen Cooperative, Employment Cooperative Society.

During the meeting with the delegation, TYM shared the history of establishment, model, products, services, operation updates by July 2022. The delegation was very impressed with how well TYM managed loans lending for its members and maintain a repayment rate of over 99%.

The meeting at TYM helped the delegation better understand TYM’s activities, and also helped TYM expand relationships, connect and learn more experiences from microfinance institutions in Nepal.
