The foundation process wouldn\u2019t have been possible without the invaluable guidance of Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip (at that time Adviser to the United Nations <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Food and Agriculture Organization<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), who played a key role in setting up the Tinh Thuong Fund (Affection Fund) using the Grameen Bank model.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over time TYM has expanded in scope and size thanks to financial and technical assistance from a number of international organizations including the Asia Foundation, CARD, Citi Foundation, CORDAID, Ford Foundation, Grameen Trust, German Savings Banks Foundation, OXFAM, Rabobank Foundation &amp; Whole Planet Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1998, TYM became a separate entity to VWU, and later <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2006, TYM became a \u201crevenue-generating unit\u201d operating for non-profit purposes.
