On the afternoon of May 22, 2024, Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union \u00a0Nguyen Thi Thu Hien paid a working visit at Thanh Hoa branch of Tinh Thuong One Member Limited Liability Microfinance Institution (TYM). The meeting also had the presence of Provincial Party Committee member, President of Thanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union Ngo Thi Hong Hao and Chairperson of TYM\u2019s Board of Directors Dinh Thi Tuyet Nhung.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

At the meeting, the representative of TYM – Thanh Hoa Branch reported about the activities and achievements of the branch recently. Currently, Thanh Hoa branch is the biggest branch of TYM, providing services to nearly 20,000 customers in 93 communes and 8 districts\/cities of the province. The overdue debt rate is under control and is lower than in other credit institutions. Attracting more customers to participate in TYM\u2019s activities also means that TYM can support more women members and households to increase their income, contributing to accelerating poverty reduction locally. TYM, together with the Vietnam Women\u2019s Union (VWU) at all levels, awarded hundreds of gifts and hundreds of scholarships to families of TYM\u2019s disadvantaged, poor customers and poor students overcoming difficulties, with a total budget of hundreds of millions of dong.<\/p>\n

After listening to the report on TYM’s performance as well as the coordination between TYM and the Vietnam Women\u2019s Union in Thanh Hoa province, Vice President Nguyen Thi Thu Hien noted and highly appreciated TYM’s performance: “TYM has proactively coordinated with the Provincial Vietnam Women’s Union to carry out many meaningful programs and activities, bringing practical benefits to women. TYM – Thanh Hoa Branch has made many contributions to the achievements of the entire TYM in particular and the Vietnam Women’s Union in general.” Leaders of the Vietnam Women’s Union also noted the opinions and suggestions and hoped that TYM – Thanh Hoa Branch would continue to make efforts to overcome difficulties and carry out its mission, clearly define roles and positions, coordinate closely with the Vietnam Women\u2019s Union to organize more effective activities.<\/p>\n\n

Previously, the statement of President of Thanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union Ngo Thi Hong Hao also affirmed the close coordination between TYM and the Vietnam Women\u2019s Union in the area. She also hopes that in the coming time, TYM will continue to research and boldly implement activities in new areas because women’s demand for credit is still very high. “Thanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union is always ready with TYM’s lending procedures which are simple, convenient and suitable for women,” the Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union shared.<\/p>\n

At the end of the working session, Chairperson of TYM\u2019s Board of Directors Dinh Thi Tuyet Nhung, on behalf of TYM’s Board of Directors, received instructions and contributions from Vice President Hien. Ms. Nhung hopes that in the coming time, TYM will continue to receive close direction and guidance from the Standing Committee of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women’s Union and the companionship of all levels of the VWU to carry out its tasks assigned by VWU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
