TYM was recognized as \u201cthe outstanding MFI implementing the principals of client protection”<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Under the 2017 Citi-Vietnam Micro entrepreneurship awards (CMA 2017), TYM was honored to be the recipient of both outstanding MFI and client awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the morning of 15\/12\/2017, the CMA 2017 celebration took place in Hanoi. This is a global annual event organized by the Advisory Centre for Microfinance Resources for Small and Medium Microfinance Enterprises (formerly Vietnam Microfinance Working group \u2013 VMWG), with the support of the State Bank of Vietnam. The event is sponsored by the Citi Foundation\/Citi Bank Vietnam to recognize microfinance clients and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the development of the microfinance sector in Vietnam, and to the hunger elimination and poverty reduction.<\/p>\n

Under the organizational award category, it is TYM\u2019s honor to be recognized as the \u201coutstanding microfinance institution implementing the principles of client protection\u201d. This is one of the most important factors for a MFI to pursue its poverty reduction mission. TYM has applied the seven customer principles of Smart Campaign for years. So far TYM has developed a standard training program on customer protection and made this as an annual mandatory topic for all staff.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Under the individual award category, two members of TYM was also honored as outstanding micro-entrepreneurs. Especially, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong – member of TYM\u2019s Song Cong branch, Thai Nguyen province was recognized as “the best micro-entrepreneur of CMA 2017” (selected among 30 outstanding microfinance clients in 2017) with the model of producing sawdust pellets (a form of renewable and environmentally friendly energy). Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue – member of TYM\u2019s Hai Hau Branch, Nam Dinh province was also selected as one of 30 outstanding microfinance clients of CMA 2017 with the clean mushroom cultivation model.<\/p>\n

To date, TYM has won 10 awards including \u201cOutstanding MFI of the Year\u201d (8 times), \u201cOutstanding MFI Pro-poor Focus\u201d (2014) and \u201cOutstanding MFI implementing the principals of client protection\u201d (2017).
\n18 credit officers have been recognized as the Excellent Credit Officers of the year.
\n89 TYM\u2019s members have been awarded the title of \u201cOutstanding Microfinance Client\u201d. Particularly, in 2011, TYM nominated one of its members, Ms. Duong Thi Tuyet, Y Yen branch, Nam Dinh province for the Global Micro-Entrepreneur Award organized by Planet Finance. Ms. Tuyet was selected as one of the 6 outstanding micro-entrepreneur globally in 2011.<\/strong><\/h5>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
