Fieldtrip to an Eco-Garden Economic Model<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n

On the 14th<\/sup> <\/strong>of Aug<\/strong>ust 2018, Transaction Office 02<\/strong>\u00a0of<\/strong>\u00a0TYM\u2019s Bac Ninh branch organized a study tour for TYM\u2019s members to the eco-garden economic model of member Nguyen Thi Phan in center 49, La Miet village, Yen Giang commune, Que Vo district<\/strong>, Bac Ninh<\/strong>\u00a0province.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phan is a member\u00a0of TYM since 2015.\u00a0With the\u00a0determination to have a decent living, her family contracted over 25,200 m\u00a02<\/sup>\u00a0to develop the model of ecological garden.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mrs. Phan was happy to show the\u00a0visitors her 10,000 m\u00a02<\/sup> eco-garden of Thai jackfruit, apple, avocado, lemon …\u00a0She\u00a0shared that her family bought soya beans to fertilize the trees so that they produce better quality fruits.\u00a0She also raises chicken to make the most of out of the land.\u00a0Besides, the family takes advantage of the lake area over 15.200m\u00a02<\/sup> for shrimp and fish pond. Annually, after deducting expenses, she earns from VND 220- 250 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fieldtrip to Mrs. Phan\u2019s farm helped\u00a0TYM\u00a0members\u00a0have more knowledge and experience in growing crops, fish and shrimp efficiently.\u00a0All visitors recognized that this is a sustainable economic development model in\u00a0households,\u00a0which also can\u00a0create jobs for members of the family and increase revenues.<\/span><\/p>\n

New subsidized home for member Do Ngoc Thuy<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

On the 29th<\/sup> of August 2018, TYM\u2019s<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Bac Ninh branch<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0held\u00a0the ceremony to gift a subsidized home to the family of Mrs. Do Ngoc Thuy, TYM\u2019s member in center 65, Do Xa zone, Bac Ninh City.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Mrs. Do Ngoc\u00a0Thuy\u2019s family is\u00a0one of the\u00a0poor households\u00a0with particularly difficult circumstances\u00a0in the locality.\u00a0Her husband died long time ago. Her eldest sick child also died. She has to raise her 2 children by herself. Her second son\u00a0is also\u00a0weak. He was married to a woman infected with\u00a0Agent\u00a0Orange so their children are ill.\u00a0As a result, despite the fact that Mrs. Thuy is almost 60 years old but is still\u00a0raising\u00a0three grandchildren at school-age.\u00a0The main source of family income comes from her\u00a0son\u2019s employment\u00a0and her job as a cleaner. However, this money is just enough to cover daily expenses. \u00a0Her\u00a0family\u2019s 30\u00a0m\u00a02<\/sup>\u00a0house\u00a0is dilapidated without toilet. Therefore\u00a0, Mrs. Thuy and her family has dreamed of a decent house but it seems impossible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Until the beginning of 2018, Mrs. Thuy was deeply touched when Bac Ninh branch announced that TYM will support the family with VND 40 million to build a new home.\u00a0After\u00a0more than\u00a0three months, with the help of TYM, her cousins and local mass organizations, the house of her family was completed.<\/span><\/p>\n

On August 29, 2018, TYM held a handover ceremony to gift the house to Mrs. Phan\u2019s family with the presence of the chairwoman of Bac Ninh Women’s Union, local authorities and other TYM members in the community.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

At the handover ceremony, Mrs. Thuy was very happy to receive the new house.\u00a0She was grateful for TYM\u2019s and local authorities\u2019 who created conditions for her family to have a more spacious home to live peacefully.\u00a0Sharing the joy of having a new home, her son said,”\u00a0I’m so happy, I’ve never been in a nice house like this.”<\/span><\/p>\n

TYM\u2019s subsidized home is not only of material value but also\u00a0has great spiritual meaning.The program demonstrates the sharing and support of TYM with poor members and their families in order to help them stabilize their lives and\u00a0motivate them to continue working for their family\u2019s economic development.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
