Training class for center leaders is an activity of TYM annual training program at branches

On July 6th, 2018, Y Yen Branch of TYM held a training class for center leaders in Lam town, Y Yen district, Nam Dinh province – an activity of TYM annual training program at branches.

As the name implied, the training class was attended by over 70 center leaders from centers of Y Yen Branch – TYM office. Useful information about TYM and current regulations & policies, roles & responsibilities of center leader, required skills to implement tasks were all included in the training content. In particular, members were all excited to participate in focus groups and share their challenges as well as personal experience during operating the center so that they could learn from each other. The content of each class was designed properly, in which practical share was interspersed with multiple-choice questions after each presentation to make it easier for members to remember and understand. Not only did the course provide them with a clear perception on regulations and policies and TYM products but it also benefited them with better marketing and negotiation skills. In addition, members had a chance to enthusiastically exchange their experience in problem solving at center and appropriate ways of operating centers. At the end of each session, each member built their own detailed plan towards achieving the title of a strong center. “Thanks to TYM, members from all walks of life can reunite and share their good deeds and thoughts, and be equipped with knowledge and skills by TYM officers, which will later be used to help other members to become active in their business, production and investment in new project”, said Mrs. Dinh Thi Hoa from center no. 71, on behalf of all center leaders.

Currently, TYM has 3780 center leaders that are directly monitoring and managing TYM centers at villages. Most recent center leaders are officers of VWU at the local (in role of heads and deputies). Center leaders, with the mission of attracting and promoting members to join in TYM operations, are a bridge between TYM and members at the local. Moreover, center leaders also help TYM conduct missions to support economic development, community development and capacity enhancement for women living in areas covered by branches. With such a dual role, the course does not only help center leaders do their job at TYM centers properly, but it also enhances their skills in processing other tasks of VWU.
