After research was conducted, loans for near poor households was implemented in all branches from 01/3/2017.
As a result, TYM’s members who were near poor households (in accordance with the Government’s definition) could take out this loan with preferential interest rates to invest in different fields to increase their income and improve standards of living. The maximum loan amount that members can borrow is VND 25 million in 50 weeks.
The implementation of TYM’s loan for near poor households has met the expectation of many members who escaped poverty but can still borrow a loan appropriate in size to their repayment capacity with a preferential interest rate TYM’s loan for near poor households will be beneficial for the near poor as currently the boundary between poor households and near poor ones is not very clear, and most preferential policies are for poor households.
From February until 31st March 2017, 278 members were provided with loans for near poor households with a total loan disbursement amount of VND 4.631.000.000.
Hopefully with this new loan, TYM can assist more and more near poor women in developing their household’s economies and having a better and more stable life.
