In the afternoon of December 12, 2019 in Hanoi, TYM welcomed students from University of St. Gallen, Switzerland and Singapore Management University, came to learn about the microfinance model in Vietnam.
During this visit, the delegation had the opportunity to listen to TYM staff introducing about TYM’s process of formation, development and the highlights and advantages of microfinance activities in Vietnam. The delegation also visited the CAR outlet in Hanoi where TYM helps its borrowers to bring their products closer to buyers. Through the shared content, foreign youths are very impressed with TYM in supporting women, especially poor and disadvantaged women and their families to get out of poverty and have a stable and improved income stream, quality of life and their children are well-educated. The delegation was very impressed with the loan repayment method that helped the poor not to be under pressure to repay a lot of money at once. The loan products are diversified in design, suitable for each type of economic model of women. In addition, TYM also provides other free social services such as capacity building, financial education, business development, scholarships for children of poor members with good academic results, subsidized homes, free health check-up, fieldtrip to learn about other TYM’s members’ outstanding economic models…
The visit not only helps international students learn about microfinance activities but moreover it is a lesson about how an organization can develop sustainably. The key secret is to provide good, stable service and create more value for its customers, helping them develop sustainably.
The study visit at TYM is part of the “Business Study mission to Vietnam”, a program organized by 2 St. Universities. Gallen Switzerland and Singapore Management University. In this program, 2 international schools selected 27 excellent students to visit multinational companies, state agencies, businesses, non-governmental organizations in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi from August 8. -14/12/2019.
