In the afternoon of 11 December 2014, in Hanoi, the CMA 2014 Ceremony honored 6 outstanding institutions, 20 typical micro entrepreneurs and 3 individuals whohave made positive contributions for the development of the Vietnam microfinance sector in 2014. Among those, TYM was glad to achieve 3 awards for collective and individual excellence.
After 8 years of participation in this award program, TYM was recognized as the best Microfinance Institution in 7 consecutive years between 2007 and 2013. Under this year program, there were 3 awards categories for the collective. Among those, TYM participated the category of Typical Microfinance Institution Pro-poor focus and achieved the highest rank.
Two individual prizes were awarded to two TYM’s members who are Ms. Nguyen Thi Luyen (Bac Ninh branch) – Typical Micro-entrepreneur implementing a sustainable production and business model and Ms. Ninh ThiHung (Y Yen – Nam Dinh Branch) – TypicalMicro-entrepreneur achieving effectively economic model of production and business.
Becoming TYM’ members, they are able not only to get loans for the development of their production and business and participate in other financial and non-financial activities but also have chances to become micro entrepreneurs honored under the CMA program. This award not only recognizes their contribution and efforts but also is great and active encouragement for them in the escape from poverty as well asmotivation for other women to follow. Hopefully, there will be more TYM’s members honored in the CMA program every year.
