TYM expands its operations in Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province

On August 20, 2024, Tinh Thuong One member Limited liability Microfinance Institution (TYM) held a conference to launch its operations in Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province. The conference was attended by leaders of the Bac Giang Provincial Women’s Union, Tan Yen District Party Committee and communes and towns in Tan Yen district.

TYM began operating in Bac Giang province in 2014. To date, TYM Bac Giang Branch is providing financial services to nearly 4,200 customers in 41 communes and wards of Lang Giang, Hiep Hoa districts, Viet Yen town and Bac Giang city. In addition, every year TYM Bac Giang Branch organizes many support programs for women and the community such as supporting the construction of subsidized houses, giving gifts to families with preferential policies, organizing tours of economic models, supporting medical and educational projects (New Rural Areas), etc.

At the conference, TYM Deputy General Director Phung Dinh Kien affirmed the effectiveness of TYM’s activities over the past 10 years in Bac Giang and expressed his thanks to the local government and Women’s Union for their attention and facilitation of the organization’s activities. TYM leaders expressed their determination and confidence that in the coming time, TYM’s activities in Tan Yen district will create opportunities for women to access loans and develop the economy. From there, TYM, together with the Women’s Union of Tan Yen district in particular and Bac Giang province in general, will contribute to the implementation of the Project “Supporting women to start a business, period 2017-2025”.

On this occasion, TYM presented 01 subsidized house and 10 gifts to poor women members and women in especially difficult circumstances in Tan Yen district.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Vu Thi An, Vice President of the Women’s Union of Bac Giang province, requested the Women’s Unions of communes and towns in Tan Yen district to actively promote and introduce the organization and activities of TYM and programs, products, and regulations related to women members, and at the same time pay attention to grasping the borrowing needs of members, closely coordinating with TYM to support women members when they need to access capital sources.

Tan Yen is the 5th district in Bac Giang province and the 91st district with TYM activities in 13 provinces/cities.

• Contribute to the development of the Association’s members;
• Contribute to the building of the grassroots organization of the Association where TYM operates through capacity training for women’s cell cadres;
• Promote the Association’s activities to women through TYM’s activities.

Contribute to ensuring social security for the locality, community and society
• Contribute to poverty reduction;
• Contribute to ensuring security and order in the locality through supporting people to take out loans and develop family economy;
• Accompany localities to strengthen social security: Supporting the New Rural Program; building subsidized houses; giving scholarships for poor children with good academic performance; organizing cultural and artistic exchange activities.
• Integrate propaganda of the Party, State and local policies to people through center meetings; Improve capacity and discipline for women, help to raise awareness and responsibility towards the community, locality and society.
• Provide trainings to women to join People’s Councils at all levels, cadres of political and social organizations at the grassroots level.

• Create opportunities for economic development, improve the quality of life through access to financial services (loans, savings) for investment in production and business.
• Support women to develop comprehensively, improve capacity, strengthen their position, help women become more confident through diverse programs and community activities.
• Women are cared for in health care, supported to build houses, and children are supported to continue going to school when facing difficulties.
