The pilot implementation of green loans by TYM marks a pioneering step in the field of microfinance in Vietnam, affirming TYM’s commitment to accompanying the global green economy movement and contributing to sustainable economic development.
Starting from March 24, 2025, TYM officially launched the green loan pilot at two branches: TYM Y Yen (Nam Dinh) and TYM Dien Chau (Nghe An). The pilot results will serve as an important foundation for TYM to evaluate and potentially scale up this meaningful credit product in the near future.
Green loans refer to financial support for activities that aim to protect the environment, promote energy efficiency, and foster sustainable development. For TYM, green loans are not just financial products, but also solutions to help improve the quality of life for women.

- Benefits of Green Loans
Currently, TYM offers preferential interest rates during the pilot phase of the green loan program. Moreover, the loan amount is flexible depending on the borrower’s profile, and can be up to VND 100 million for poor and near-poor households.
When customers take out green loans, they not only gain access to affordable financial resources but also contribute to environmental protection. The loans are used to purchase energy-efficient equipment and invest in clean production practices that reduce business-related emissions. As a result, customers optimize costs while minimizing their environmental footprint.
At the same time, green loans promote sustainable livelihoods, encouraging environmentally friendly business models among TYM’s clients. The adoption of green technologies enhances work efficiency, reduces operational costs, and ensures stable and long-term income.
The research and implementation of green loans at TYM is a significant step reflecting TYM’s commitment to promoting microfinance in alignment with sustainable development goals.
