Being the Vietnam Woman’s Union’s exemplary microfinance model, TYM is willing to share its experience and support microfinance programs and organizations in the country and in the region. TYM recently received Korean microfinance NGOs delegation that came to learn experiences in microfinance management.
On the morning of 19/9/2017, TYM had a meeting with Merry Year International (operating in Vinh Long province) and Global Civic Sharing Organization (operating in Cao Bang), two Korean NGOs implementing microfinance programs in Vietnam and the Korea Council of Non-Governmental Organizations for Development Cooperation (KCOC) ), the governing body of all Korean non-governmental organizations operating in Vietnam. Knowing that TYM is a professional and growing microfinance institution in Vietnam, the Korean delegation proposed a visit at TYM to learn about TYM’s microfinance model. At the meeting, Mrs. Tran Thi Ngoc Ha, Head of Administration and International Relations Department of TYM shared specific information on TYM’s financial services, ongoing projects, capacity building activities for members and how to recruit, train staff. The delegation said thatprior to this sharing, although they visited many organizations, TYM was the organization they were most impressed by its dedication to its clients in each product, service and TYM’s achievements over 25 years. Mrs. Su Yeon Min,the representative from Merry Year International, expressed her wish to invite TYM to provide technical assistance in recruiting, training and community activitiesto Merry Year International in the near future.
