The 9th National Patriotic Emulation Congress was taken place in Hanoi in 2 days of 7-8/12/2015. The event aimed to review the implementation of patriotic emulation movements and honored excellent examples in these movements in the 5 years of 2011-2015, as well as to build up goals and missions for the 2015-2020 period. The Congress honored and praised 1800 outstanding representatives who excelled in various areas in the 2011-2015 period, contributing to the cause of national renewa construction and protection.
Under the Congress, TYM’s member Mrs. Duong Thi Tuyet at Y Yen Branch (Nam Dinh province) was honored as one of 1800 typical examples of the country.
Mrs. Duong Thi Tuyet has been a member of TYM since 1998. She and her husband get TYM’s loans for investment and development of their traditional bronze casting. Thanks to that, they, from a poor family until now, have escaped from poverty and get rich on their own homeland. They not only contribute to preserving the traditional bronze casting of the country, but also participate actively in social and charity activities, share experiences and help create jobs for many young labors in Y Yen district, Nam Dinh province. In 2008, Mrs. Tuyet was recognized as a typical micro-entrepreneur under the Citi-Vietnam MicroEntrepreneurship Awards program. Particularly, in 2011, she was the only representative of Vietnam given with the global Micro Entrepreneur Award taken place in France by Planet Finance. With these dedication and achievements, Mrs. Duong Thi Tuyet honored to attend the 9th National Patriotic Emulation Congress and become a typical representative of the movement “the whole country joins hands to build new countryside “.
