On June 28, 2019, TYM Thanh Hoa branch organized an exposure for 150 members in Quang Xuong district to visit the business model of Ms. Hoang Thi Van’s family – in Quang Hoa commune, Quang Xuong district. Ms. Van is one of the outstanding members of Center no. 68 – Thanh Hoa branch with the business of raising rabbits with high economic efficiency. From the tour, the other members could consult, learn and develop their own family’s business.
This year, diseases have occurred frequently, causing many losses for farmers in Thanh Hoa province. Many members are currently very hesitant and have not found out suitable animal husbandry. Recognizing that problem, Thanh Hoa branch selected rabbit breeding model of Ms. Van’s family for the exposure tour. Although it is not new, it works very effectively. In particular, her family has known how to grasp the market as well as the current epidemic situation in poultry herds in order to select suitable breeds. Careful and scientific way of caring has helped her family to minimize the risks and damages in the last outbreak. Moreover, this business also creates permanent jobs for 3-4 employees in the area.
The group was guided by Ms. Van to visit the rabbit farm and listen to the introduction about the business as well as the process and farming methods. Ms. Van also instructed the group the caring and diseases prevention method for rabbits. After receiving many questions regarding the output of this 6,000 rabbit model, she also enthusiastically shared about the finished products of the business (meat and rabbit fur). At present, although there are many restaurants making order, the family only has enough capacity to supply the meat for companies. Rabbit fur is also sold for use in the fashion industry. Ms. Van affirmed: “I see that the group has paid much attention to the business of the family. After this trip, if anyone needs and intends to raise rabbits, my family will guide how to raise, take care and consume output products for them”.
The concentration and the desire to learn during the trip and the excitement of the members after the trip has showed the effectiveness of the visit. From this hands-on experience, the members may identify more new directions to develop thesir family economy.
