On May 15, 2026, in Dong Ha Ward, the Tinh Thuong One Member Limited Liability Microfinance Institution (TYM) officially held the grand opening ceremony of TYM – Quang Tri Branch.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Duc Dong – Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 8 Branch; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Ha – Vice President of the Quang Tri Provincial Women’s Union; representatives from local Party committees, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations from Dong Ha and Nam Dong Ha wards. The establishment of the Quang Tri Branch marks an important milestone in TYM’s strategy to expand its operational network, bringing the total number of branches to 23 across 10 provinces and cities in Northern and Central Vietnam. Through this expansion, TYM continues to improve access to safe and transparent microfinance services for women, especially poor, vulnerable, low-income women and women living in rural areas.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thuong emphasized that the opening of the Quang Tri Branch is not only about expanding TYM’s network, but also reflects the organization’s desire to bring “Affection” to a land rich in revolutionary traditions, resilience, and solidarity. She described the event as another important milestone in TYM’s more than 34-year journey of supporting women, contributing to financial inclusion, sustainable poverty reduction, and economic development.

Ms. Thuong also expressed her emotion at TYM’s presence in Quang Tri, a province known for its strong revolutionary heritage and community spirit. She affirmed that TYM hopes to provide additional resources to help local women develop their livelihoods and improve their quality of life. According to her, every loan provided by TYM is not only financial support but also a source of trust, companionship, and motivation for women to confidently grow their businesses, enhance their social standing, and gradually take control of their lives.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Dong, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 8 Branch, highly appreciated TYM’s expansion into Quang Tri, noting that it contributes to promoting financial inclusion and creates opportunities for local residents, especially women and low-income households, to access formal, safe, and suitable financial services for economic development. He emphasized that TYM – Quang Tri Branch should continue operating in line with the mission and objectives of a microfinance institution, strengthen governance and internal control systems, fully comply with operational safety regulations, improve risk management and customer information security, and enhance credit quality. He also stressed the importance of investing in facilities, technology infrastructure, and building a dedicated and responsible staff team that stays close to the people and supports them in livelihood development. In addition, Mr. Dong called on local Party committees, authorities, and socio-political organizations to continue coordinating and creating favorable conditions for TYM to operate effectively in the province, helping to limit informal lending and promote local socio-economic development.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Ha, Vice President of the Quang Tri Provincial Women’s Union, congratulated TYM on officially opening its Quang Tri Branch and highly appreciated TYM’s role in microfinance activities that support poor and disadvantaged women and struggling households in improving livelihoods and living standards.

According to Ms. Ha, TYM’s expansion into Quang Tri carries practical significance by providing women and local residents with an additional channel for safe and effective financial support. It also creates opportunities for more women union members to access suitable financial resources for family economic development and stable living conditions.

She expressed confidence that, with the cooperation of Women’s Union organizations at all levels, the support of local authorities, and the efforts of the branch staff, TYM – Quang Tri Branch will operate effectively, develop sustainably, and continue affirming its positive role in supporting women’s economic empowerment in the province.

In the coming time, TYM – Quang Tri Branch will introduce credit products and financial services tailored to the practical needs of local residents. The branch will also work closely with the Women’s Union and relevant organizations to support women members in household economic development, business start-ups, and financial management capacity building.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for TYM – Quang Tri Branch marked a new step forward in TYM’s journey of expanding its operational network.

At the opening ceremony, in the spirit of sharing and supporting disadvantaged women and families through meaningful practical actions, TYM presented 30 gifts worth VND 1 million each to Women Union members and their children facing difficult circumstances in Dong Ha and Nam Dong Ha wards.

Thirty gift packages with a total value of VND 30 million were presented directly to women union members and their children from disadvantaged families living in Dong Ha Ward and Nam Dong Ha Ward.

The establishment of TYM – Quang Tri Branch is part of TYM’s strategic orientation to expand its service coverage, improve management quality, and enhance access to microfinance services for customers.
