On the afternoon of October 3, 2024, TYM General Director Pham Thi Thuy Linh had a meeting with the Norwegian Embassy’s Commercial Counselor at TYM’s Head office.
General Director Pham Thi Thuy Linh expressed her pleasure to welcome and thank Ms. Karin Greve-Isdahl, Commercial Counselor of the Norwegian Embassy and the members of the working delegation for taking the time to visit and explore cooperation opportunities with TYM.
During the meeting, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh updated TYM’s operations: TYM is owned by the Vietnam Women’s Union, currently operating in 13 provinces with 207,363 customers. TYM is focusing on 3 main goals: 1. Improving the efficiency of the organization’s operations 2. Digital transformation: TYM encourages customers to conduct transactions through bank accounts towards cashless transactions 3. Increasing value for customers: Focusing on improving products and services to make it most convenient for customers. In the face of policy changes in the microfinance industry, TYM still ensures stable operations.
Ms. Karin Greve-Isdahl introduced Abler Nordic, a fund management company based in Norway, founded in 2008. The company conducts investment activities and supports financial institutions for low-income people in developing economies. Abler Nordic hopes to learn and seek cooperation opportunities with TYM in the future.
Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh affirmed: In order for TYM to achieve its development goals, TYM always needs to cooperate with domestic and international enterprises. TYM is ready to explore cooperation opportunities with Abler Nordic in the near future. TYM thanks the Norwegian Embassy and Abler Nordic for choosing TYM to visit, learn and cooperate.
