Recently, under the supervision program for WU activities and operation in Nghe An, the officers of Planning – Finance Dept. of the central VWU visited TYM Branch Nghi Loc and presented gifts to 2 poor members in Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc. The two members were currently borrowing loan from TYM to develop economy.
TYM Branch Nghi Loc is one of the first branches to be established in Nghe An and so far has achieved many positive results. It is now leading in terms of members and clients size as well as total portfolio within the whole organization. By the end of June 2015, it has reached more than 12,500 borrowers with a total loan outstanding of over VND 70 billion.
Although the working program was rather dense and the weather was sweltering, the officers of Planning – Finance Dept. of the central VWU did not mind. They visited and presented gifts to two poor TYM members including Mrs. Cao Thi Ha (Dinh village, Nghi Yen, Nghi Loc) and Mrs. Dau Thi Ven (Tay Son village, Nghi Yen, Nghi Loc).
Mrs. Cao Thi Ha has joined TYM since 2011. Her family was the poor. Thus, she had the priority to borrow policy loan from TYM with preferential interest rate. She was using the recent loan of VND 4 million to invest in breeding pigs and trading rice. After 5 years of TYM membership, her family’s finance has been improved and become more sustainable. However, Mrs. Cao Thi Ha still had to face many difficulties while raising her child on her own. To her expectation, her child has learnt very hard and has been recently rewarded a prize of provincial level in Physics. Mrs. Dau Thi Ven also borrowed VND 1 million from TYM to invest in breeding in order to raise her income so that she could cover her family daily expense. Her family was extremely poor and disadvantaged. Her husband passed away while their two children was still young. Thus, she had to bring up her children on her own.
For the efforts of two strong women, the Planning – Finance Dept. gave each family VND 1 million. This is a meaningful present to encourage them and give them faith to overcome all difficulties, take good care of their children and get a better life.
