My story today is about a TYM’s staff, who was born in the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province. He grew up and went to school on the site of revolution and was always inspired by the morality and style of Uncle Ho.
The TYM staff I am referring to here is Mr. Le Khac He, who is currently the acting Director of Hai Phong branch. Mr. He started working as a technical officer in Hung Nguyen Branch of TYM, Nghe An province in 1998. After 3 years, he was transferred to Nghi Loc branch, then he was promoted as an assistant to the branch director and then as the branch director in 2007. After that, he was the branch director of Do Luong branch. From 2010 to 2017, Mr. He worked in Operations unit at TYM’s Head Office in Hanoi. In 2018, he was assigned as the Acting Director of Hai Phong branch. Having worked hard for nearly 20 years at TYM, he has worked in many different locations and positions, but wherever and whenever he works, he always fulfills his assigned tasks. I must say that nearly no TYM areas that Mr. He has not come to. The Vietnam Women’s Union and local leaders always trust and love him. This is because everyone who has worked with Mr. He always feels his dedication and enthusiasm. He is active, eager with all TYM’s activities and his customers. While working in branches, he did not mind rainy or burning hot weather; he went to the most distant and poorest areas to mobilize people to join TYM. He knows all his customers’ circumstances thoroughly. For members, he is always like his customers’ family member, always caring, sharing and helping.
I am sure that, like me, many other people including TYM’s leaders, staff, members and local leaders who worked with Mr. He have heard stories about him at least twice. Currently, he is no longer working in Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc and Do Luong, but when he had chances to go back those branches, many TYM members greeted and expression their affection for him.
Last Lunar New Year, when I paid a visit at his home, I also met TYM customers with their husbands and children that were managed by Mr. He since 1999. For so many years, they still called him “Master” in a very close and respectful way. I heard them tell stories about him. During the cold Lunar New Year, Mr. He did not visit his relatives and friends but took time to visit members, particularly members with difficulties, with cancer. He gave medicines and fed dying members with spoons of porridge. Actually, I have heard many stories about Mr. He, but I really felt moved when I witnessed how old TYM members and their families expressed their feelings for Mr. He. Those good relationships with his customers cannot be established in one day or two but requires a time of building long-term emotional development. After that day, I thought and asked why Mr. He could maintain a long-term relationship with members and their families. He responded: “If we did not sympathize with the members and their families, they would not have participated in TYM for long and would not share difficulties in work with TYM staff. As a result, TYM customers and staff have built a culture of TYM like now. ”
Working time with him is not long but enough for me to realize that the way he handled his work is very clear with full explanations, making customers and local leaders very admired. At work, he is very strict, but in real life, he is cheerful, open and willing to help other staff. Working with Mr. He teaches us the spirit of hard work, diligence, creativity in handling situations and saving maximum expenses for our organization.
