On the date of 4./3/2012, at the Central Vietnam Women Union, the signing ceremony of microfinance training agreement between Viet Nam Women Academy, Women’s Economic Development Support Departmentof VWU and TYM took place. President at the ceremony are the Vice President of VWU, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy, and leaders of these 3 units and the experts who are currently supporting TYM.
Participants agree to closely co-operate on microfinance training, and to commit to work on each party’s advantage in order to provide high quality training courses in terms of theory and practice,with the aims of enhancing professionalism and efficiencyof organizations, managers and staff of microfinance institutions, in addition to providing training on financial literacy for targeted women groups, thus contributing to poverty alleviation andwomen’s role enhancement.
To implement the agreement, a working group of specialists was established involving 3 organizations which will be responsible for coordinating all operation activities; Vietnam Women Academy will be the main coordinator.
Many new opportunities will be opened thanks to the close collaboration between units of Vietnam Women Union . With this agreement, TYM, the Vietnam Women Academy and Women’s Economic Development Support Departmentwill become leaders in developing and providing training and capacity building courses about micro finance.
The efficiency of this cooperation will also contribute to the realization of the strategy on Microfinance until 2020 of the VWU.
