On November 19, 2024, Tinh Thuong One member Limited liability Microfinance Institution (TYM) – Vinh Phuc Branch, Vinh Phuc province held a conference to implement microfinance activities in Tam Duong district, Vinh Phuc province. Attending the conference were: Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh, Member of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women’s Union, General Director of TYM; Mr. Hoang Duy Chinh, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung, Vice President of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Women’s Union; Vu Thi Thu Hoa, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Tam Duong District People’s Committee, along with leaders of the People’s Committee and Chairwomen of the Women’s Union of 13 communes and towns.
At the conference, delegates were introduced to TYM activities and the plan to open TYM activities in Tam Duong district. TYM has been present in Vinh Phuc province since 1995, starting to be opened in Tam Dong commune, Phuc Yen town. Up to now, TYM – Vinh Phuc Branch, Vinh Phuc Province is operating in 5 districts and cities including: Binh Xuyen, Yen Lac, Vinh Tuong districts and Phuc Yen city, Vinh Yen with a total of 29 staff.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Duy Chinh, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Vinh Phuc Province Branch acknowledged the effectiveness of TYM’s activities in the province: “The State Bank strongly supports TYM’s expansion of its area so that more women can access this source of capital. We suggest that TYM continue to research the market and widely open it to the remaining areas of Vinh Phuc Province in the coming time.”
Also at the conference, TYM presented 20 gifts to poor women members in Tam Duong District.
At the end of the conference, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union, General Director of TYM expressed her joy and sent her deep thanks to the local authorities as well as the Vietnam Women’s Union at all levels for their attention and support for TYM’s activities. TYM General Director affirmed that TYM will always operate in accordance with its principles, purposes and in compliance with the law under the supervision of the State Bank. TYM will continue to work with the local authorities and the Vietnam Women’s Union to ensure social security in Tam Duong district.
In Tam Duong district, after this conference, TYM will continue to organize microfinance activities in communes, towns and residential areas. TYM – Vinh Phuc Branch, Vinh Phuc Province – Transaction Office No. 03 will soon establish centers in residential areas, prepare loan applications, appraise loans and disburse loans to women in need of loans.
| TYM’s main products and services are credit, savings deposits and community support activities. Participants are women from poor households, near-poor households, low-income women, with priority given to vulnerable women; micro-enterprises (with separate regulations). Credit is the main product, contributing significantly to supporting women in economic development, escaping poverty and becoming rich. Types of loans include: policy loan, economic development loan, loan to support for near-poor households, multi-purpose loan, construction loan, salary-based loans and limits. In addition, TYM focuses on implementing activities to support customers and the community including: capacity building for women, building subsidized houses; new rural areas; health check-ups; Awarding scholarships to customers’ children with good academic performance and overcoming difficulties; showing gratitude to families with preferential policies; organizing cultural and sports activities for women; supporting TYM customers to connect, introduce products and many other practical activities. |
