In the morning of 22th November, 2013,on the occasion of 1st conference of overseas Vietnamese women, the delegation of overseas Vietnam Women Association visited TYM’s Thanh Hoa branch in Thanh Hoa province.
The delegation is accompanied by Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoai Linh – member of Presidium and Head of the International Relation Department of Vietnam Women Union, Mrs Nguyen Thi Quyet – Vice President of Thanh Hoa Women Union, Mr. Tran The Luu – Vice Chairman of Quang Xuong People’s Committee, Mrs. Tran Thi Tuyen – President of Quang Xuong Women Union and other staff of TYM’s Thanh Hoa branch.
The delegation visited some activities of TYM at local level, met with and listened to sharings and feelings from TYM’s members and staff, while acquiring new knowledge about microfinance. As the visit ended, representatives were very surprised and appreciative of TYM’s members’ strong will to overcome difficultiesand especially meaningful activities organized by TYM and TYM staffs for poor women. An overseas Vietnamese form German shared that after she comes back to German, she will persuade others overseas Vietnamese to deposit savings at TYM in order to help TYM have more capital to support more poor women.
