On August 16, 2019, the representatives of Transaction Office 01 – TYM Bac Ninh City Branch visited member Nguyen Thi Tho to handover the donation amount of VND 23,120,000 contributed by TYM officials and other members in Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh province. Ms. Tho used that amount for her son’s heart surgery on September 27, 2019.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tho is currently living in Yen Tu village, Trung Nghia commune, Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh province. She is a member of Center 5, Transaction Office 01 (Yen Phong), TYM Bac Ninh city branch. At present, the life of this 1989 born woman is facing many difficulties and hardships. Although her husband died more than 5 years ago, she still has to “back up” to pay the debt of VND 600,000,000 for his treatment before. Ms. Tho also borrowed from TYM special loans for the poor to have money to do business (wood chiseling for others) at home. However, this unstable income could not help her to cover all living expenses and pay for the debt for many years. Besides, her second son had congenital heart disease, so he suffered from constant illness. This difficulty has not passed yet, other difficulties come. It was time for this 7-year-old boy to take surgery to ensure his health. She decided to take her child to the hospital, and of course, the amount of VND 60 million deposits for her child surgery was also borrowed from many sources.
Witnessing the difficulty and hardship of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tho, the Transaction Office 01, TYM Bac Ninh city branch asked for permission of the branch Board of Directors and the Leaders of Yen Phong District Women’s Union to launch a donation to support her family. They called support from all TYM officers and members in the Transaction Office 01 – Bac Ninh City branch. In only 12 days calling for support, with the spirit of “good leaves to protect the torn leaves”, TYM officers and members here all contributed to supporting Ms. Tho’s family. On August 16, 2019, the representatives of the Transaction Office 01 – TYM Bac Ninh City Branch handed over the donation amount of VND 23,120,000 for the family. Joining the visit, there were also the leaders of the District Women’s Union, the leaders of the Women’s Union and the Red Cross of Trung Nghia commune, the leaders of the Women’s Union of Yen Tu village, Trung Nghia commune, Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh province.
These actions seem simple but they show the spirit of mutual affection of TYM staff and members; contributing partly to resolving economic difficulties and motivating Ms. Nguyen Thi Tho’s family to rise up in life. The interest and support for each other during difficulty is one of TYM’s noble gestures, which is highly appreciated by local leaders and people.
