On 04/01/2018, the opening ceremony of TYM – Hai Phong Branch was held in Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong province. This is the 21st branch of TYM. Until now, TYM is operating in a total of 13 provinces and cities in the North and Central of Vietnam.
Attending the opening ceremony there were Ms. Duong Thi Ngoc Linh – Member of the VWU Presidium cum TYM General Director, Ms. Pham Hai Yen – Chairwoman of Hai Phong City Women’s Union, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Huong – Vice Chairman of Thuy Nguyen District People’s Committee, Ms. Pham Thi Khue – Chairwoman of Thuy Nguyen District Women’s Union.
In addition, there were representatives of Party Committee, Government and Women’s Union of 10 communes/ towns in Thuy Nguyen district. At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Huong affirmed that the local authorities would provide direction and facilitation to ensure safe transactions between TYM and members as well as to promote community activities and social security. On behalf of the Commune Party Committee, Mr. Bui Van Bien – Party Secretary of Quang Thanh Commune expressed his delight and hoped that besides loans and savings, TYM would pay much attention to the social security in the locality.
Especially, TYM also presented 30 gifts to disadvantaged women in Thuy Nguyen district.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, Hai Phong branch held a conference to introduce TYM activities in 2 communes and conducted surveys in each village. As planned, the branch would begin recruiting members and distribute loans in January 2018 for women to expand business in preparation for the run up for the Lunar New Year
