On the morning of August 14, 2023, in Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa province, the opening ceremony of Tinh Thuong One Member Limited Liability Microfinance Institution (TYM) – Nam Thanh Hoa branch, Thanh Hoa province took place. This is the 2nd TYM’s branch in Thanh Hoa province and the 22nd branch of TYM nationwide.
Attending the opening ceremony, on the side of Vietnam Women’s Union, there were Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh, Member of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women’s Union, General Director of TYM, Ms. Ngo Thi Hong Hao, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women’s Union of Thanh Hoa province, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union. On the side of the State Bank, there was Ms. Lai Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Thanh Hoa province. On the side of the Party Committee and local government, there was the presence of Mr. Le Xuan Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Nong Cong District Party Committee… along with the presence of leaders of a number of departments, mass organizations, authorities, Vietnam Women’s Union of communes in Nong Cong district.
TYM has been operating in Thanh Hoa province since 2003 and so far has been present in 8 districts/towns: Thanh Hoa city, Nghi Son, Sam Son, Quang Xuong, Nga Son, Hoang Hoa, Hau Loc, and Nong Cong. By the end of July 2023, TYM has provided financial services (credit, savings) and created opportunities for more than 26,000 women to participate in free community activities.
With 20 years of operation in Thanh Hoa province, TYM has become a reliable place for women to avail loans and deposit savings. As a result, women have developed their economy, improved their quality of life, and enhanced their status in the family as well as in society.
At the event, Ms. Lai Thi Thu Ha – Deputy Director of the State Bank of Thanh Hoa province affirmed: “The operation of TYM in Thanh Hoa province always complies with the regulations of the State Bank, ensuring the growth targets of credit and debt, thereby helping the organization to develop sustainably and stably, contributing to the realization of strategic orientations and industry goals, specifically the National Comprehensive Financial Strategy to 2025, orientation to 2030. With the operation of TYM, the State Bank of Thanh Hoa province realizes that, in addition to providing financial products and services, TYM also actively provides non-financial services to customers, contributing to a secure financial channel for women to invest in improving family economy and improving living standards comprehensively.” Leaders of the State Bank of Thanh Hoa province also suggested TYM 3 contents (1) Continue and maintain the development and growth in a safe and sustainable way, ensuring the effectiveness of credit; (2) Promote technology application in payment activities; (3) Continue to promote close cooperation with Vietnam Women’s Unions and local authorities, especially communes and villages to help women easily access loans effectively, contributing to repelling black credit, ensuring local social security.
TYM’s General Director Pham Thi Thuy Linh hopes that the authorities of Thanh Hoa province will continue to pay attention to and support TYM’s activities in Nong Cong district as well as other areas across the province; Vietnam Women’s Unions at all levels will work closely with TYM staff so that more and more members can easily access credit.
On the occasion of this event, TYM has given financial support for 01 subsidized home, 10 gift sets for women with extremely difficult circumstances in Nong Cong district and 02 New Rural projects for commune Tuong Van and Truong Trung (Nong Cong district).
