On October 23, 2019, at 20 Thuy Khue, Tay Ho, Hanoi, there will be a fair “Introduction and consumption of safe agricultural products” organized by the Vietnam Women’s Union with Department of Family – Society and Tinh Thuong One member Limited liability Microfinance Institution (TYM).
This fair is within the framework of a joint program between the Government, the Vietnam Women’s Union and the Vietnam Farmers’ Union on “Propagating, the production and trading of safe and healthy agricultural products for the health of the community in the period of 2017 – 2020.” This is one of the three key activities of the program implemented in 2019: “Building production, processing, trading chains, consuming safe agricultural products”.
The fair consists of 12 booths introducing specialty products, safe food from many localities such as Vietgap oranges from Tam Da, Hung Yen; clean tea from Dai Tu, Thai Nguyen; square cake, rice cake and marriage cake from Cho village, Yen Phong, Bac Ninh, glass noodle from Hung Yen, soy sauce from Nam Dan, peanut oil from Hung Nguyen, fish sauce from Cua Hoi, Nghe An and seafood from Thai Binh.
The products selected to be introduced at the fair are all products provided by Vietnam Women union’s members and TYM’s members with TYM’s technical support or loans to produce “safe and quality” products.
Particularly for TYM, supporting business development for its members (BDS) in general and consumption of safe agricultural products in particular is always one of the key activities. After the 526 Coordination Program, these activities were strongly focused. In addition to forming business and production groups for its members, supporting technical training to produce effectively, quality and especially ensuring safety and hygiene, TYM still promotes support for underwriting not only through the fairs, but also through online and direct sales channels.
