TYM has recently organized a study tour for its members to visit and learn about numerous typical economic models. From these successful examples, they could exchange and learn experiences and knowledge of production and breeding so as to apply in the development of their own household economy and raise their living standard.
As planned, in each branch, there were 40 members in a study tour. Only typical and feasible models which were suitable with their needs were chosen. They could be breeding and cultivating models of TYM’s member or typical economic models of local residents. Under the study tours, most of the time were spent for the hostess exchanging and sharing experiences so that all the members could learn, exchange, ask questions and thoroughly understand relevant business processes for later application in their family. In the very first step, the study programs have achieved success in the two branches of Do Luong and Hai Hau.
Visiting a new model of earthworm breeding of Ms. Doan Thi Gam (hamlet 5, Hai Son, Hai Hau, Nam Dinh), 40 members of Hai Hau branch were directly observed and understood in details the whole breeding process. Especially, they were learnt from valuable and rich experiences of Ms. Gam. For example, they could take advantages of excrement fermented in a close process as food for worms. Worm was raised with foodstuff and crushed together to provide food for poultry and cattle. It was not only economical but also nutritious. The members excitedly said that this model was feasible and suitable with their economical condition as it not only required low investment cost and small raising area but also saved human labour and disposals. It was also environmental friendly. The participants said that this program was so useful that it should be carried on annually. Thanks to that, more and more members could have a chance to learn, practice and develop their household economy effectively.
Sharing the same feeling with Hai Hau branch members, members from Do Luong expressed their excitement after visiting V-O-A, livestock and cattle models in their own districts and decided to immediately apply in their own practices. They also expressed the desire to continue joining in such meaningful and practical activities in the followings years to involve more and more woman.
Based on the success from Do Luong and Hai Hau, TYM continues instructing other branches to carry out this practical activity.
