In two days between 28/10/2015 and 29/10/2015, in Ha Noi, TYM successfully held a preliminary conference to evaluate the performance of the third quarter as well as to discuss plans for the next quarter and 2016.
Joining the conference there were Mrs. Duong Thi Ngoc Linh – member of the Presidium of Vietnam Women’s union cum TYM’s general director, Mrs. Pham Thi Thuy Linh, TYM’s deputy general director, managers and assistant managers of the five departments of the head office and all branch directors, transaction office heads and staff of the head quarter.
In the conference, Mr. Phung Dinh Kien, manager of the Research and Communication Department presented in detailed the results of all activities in the last quarter. Accordingly, during the quarter, TYM fulfilled the membership growth plan with a total number of 114,855 members by September, achieving 103% compared to the plan. The disbursement was 7.8% higher than planed and the payment rate was up to 99.96%. In addition to the expansion in existing areas, in the last quarter, TYM expanded its coverage to two new areas in Nghia Hung District and Thanh Hoa city.
The savings balance was up to VND 514 billion, accounting for 65.3% of the loan balance. The increase of the savings balance, especially time deposit shows that attractiveness of TYM’s savings products to members as well as public savers.
By the end of the third quarter, there were 8 branches ranked as excellent, 9 branches as very good and 2 branches as good.
Besides these achievements, TYM also faced numerous difficulties such as the slowdown of economic development, the competition of other organizations and banks, etc. Some branches also had difficulties in expanding membership. To name a few, they included branches of Nam Truc, Hai Hau (Nam Dinh), Bac Ninh.
In her speech at the conference, Mrs. Duong Thi Ngoc Linh, TYM’s general director highly appreciated the effort of all branches to fulfill the disbursement and the membership growth plans while there was no positive signal of the recovery of the economic market yet. She also guided branches to closely follow the 4th quarter’s plan, keep a close cooperation with local women’s unions to attract new clients as well as promote communication activities to retain existing members in order to fulfill the plan of 2015, creating the driving force for the development of the following years.
Moreover, in this conference, under the facilitation of the Finance and Planning Department, all branches defensed successfully their plans for 2016 with logical and detailed activities.
