During the two days of training, the participants joined to play a business simulation game. Through different activities such as forecasting  of business results, operating and responding to the given events, the participants would draw lessons and gain important business knowledge, namely:

  • Understand the interface between micro finance institutions and clients and realize implications thereof

As the name “Micro-Business Game”, the participants were fully active in the whole course. Through the different “rounds”, with the instruction of the trainer, the participants learned important knowledge in the field of business. With this new method, the training course attracted the enthusiastic participation of the participants. All the participants evaluated that the course was very interesting and useful.
A participant said, “after the course, I realize that I need to have entrepreneurial thinking, know how to take chances as well as identify my competitors”.

“Micro-business game” is one of the new trainings introduced by TYM in 2018. In 2017, TYM staff members were joined a TOT on this topic. The TOT was provided directly by German experts. This is within the framework of the Microfinance Development Project in the Indochina and Myanmar; in Vietnam, the project is implemented in collaboration among the Vietnam Women’s Union, the Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation (SBFIC) and CARD MRI, the Philippines. In 2018, TYM would organize this training for many more members in other branches.
