On the afternoon of December 04, 2018, a conference was held to launch the project “Support TYM to expand its operations in Thai Binh and Bac Giang” in Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province, Vietnam.
In 2014, TYM started the project “Support TYM to expand its operations in Thai Binh and Bac Giang” in Thai Thuy district and Lang Giang district. In Thai Binh, Kien Xuong is the third district operated by TYM after Thai Thuy and Thai Binh City.
Attending the launching ceremony were Ms. Duong Thi Ngoc Linh, General Director of TYM cum Project Director of the project; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Provincial Committee Member cum Chairwoman of Thai Binh Women’s Union; Mr. Nguyen Cao Song, Secretary of Kien Xuong district party committee; Mr. Vu Manh Thia – Chairman of Kien Xuong People’s Committee with leaders of district office and committees; Chairman of Kien Xuong district Women’s Union with leaders of Party Committee, People’s Committee and Women’s Union of different communes and towns in Kien Xuong district.
People in the conference listened attentively to the performance results of the project in Thai Binh province since 2014 and understood the activities of TYM in general and the project “Support TYM to expand its operations in Thai Binh and Bac Giang” in particular. Accordingly, the project has attracted more than 2,200 women living in Thai Binh and Thai Thuy with a current outstanding loan of nearly VND13 billion. In addition to providing financial support to women, the project has organized many community and social welfare activities such as support to improve capacity of members, giving gifts to poor / disadvantaged / meritorious households on the occasion of national holidays. Free medical examination and medicine have been given to the members … And in this conference, the gifts were also donated to 25 especially difficult households in Kien Xuong district by our General Director Madame Ngoc Linh.
At the end of the conference, Madame Ngoc Linh confirmed that at Kien Xuong district, the project will be widely and thoroughly implemented in communes / towns with a variety of fianancial and non-financial products and services and community activities bringing practical benefits to women in particular and the community in general.
