TYM MEMBERS WON VIETNAM CITI MICROFINANCE AWARD (CMA) 2018

On 12/12/2018, at the CMA 2018 Ceremony, 02 TYM members were honored to receive the Micro Entrepreneur Award. So far, a total of 91 members of TYM won this award.

On 12/12/2018 at the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) the Citi-Vietnam Micro entrepreneurship Awards 2018 (CMA 2018) Ceremony was taken place. The Ceremony was sponsored by Citi Foundation/ Citi Bank Vietnam to recognize and honor the micro entrepreneurs, who have taken the initiative to use loans effectively, as well as the microfinance institutions, who have made significant contributions in the implementation of the Program on Construction and Development of Sustainable Microfinance in Vietnam until 2020, and the reduction of poverty of the country. The CMA program is jointly implemented by the Vietnam Microfinance Working Group (VMFWG), Citi Foundation/ Citi Bank Vietnam, Vietnam Small and Medium Enterprise Association (VINASME), with support from the SBV.

For the award category for Micro Entrepreneurs, this year TYM continued to be successful with 2 winners. Ms. Nguyen Thi Van – member – TYM Soc Son Branch, Hanoi was awarded the “CMA 2018 Typical Micro entrepreneur with innovative ideas” with the business of rice painting. Ms. Quach Thi Huong – member – TYM Kim Dong Branch, Hung Yen was awarded the “CMA 2018 Typical Micro entrepreneur” with the business of traditional incense.

The prize has honored the MF clients who have, with their endless efforts and the effective and practical assistance of MFIs, overcome difficult circumstances to develop their family economy and have a positive influence on local poverty alleviation. Together with members for years, this seems also the success of TYM. This is the clear evidence that TYM has provided timely and proper support to Vietnamese women.
