Health checks and gifts delivered to disadvantaged clients

With the purpose of celebrating Vietnam Women’s Day (October 20) and demonstrating empathy with members suffering losses from the flood No. 8, from September 20 to 23, 2013, TYM has, incollaboration with Long Thanh pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city, Chi Khe pagoda in Hai Duong and other philanthropists, organized meetings, distributed gifts, and delivered free health checks to poor members, policy families as well as awarded scholarships and rewards to children of those members living in 3 districts of Nghe An province. 

330 gifts, with the total value of over 45 million VNDwere awarded to poor families and policy families in these 3 districts; each of those awards included staple products such as: shrimp noodles, cooking oil, glutamate, sugar, granules …. Out of 330 awards, 76 were handed over to the policy families and 254 were delivered to the needy clients.

On this occasion, the representative of TYM, Mr. Phung Dinh Kien – the Head of Research and Communication Department awarded an “Affectionate House” grant of 30 million VND to Ms. Tran Thi Hoa, a memeber living at Ward No. 7, Dan Son Commune, Do Luong District, Nghe An province, 2 rewards valued at 6 million VND to children of poor members and 6 awards  of 1.2 million VND for 6 children of TYM’s clients with provincial-level outstanding academic results in the past schoolyear.

Improving women’s health is also an action target of TYM. On this occasion, the TYM branch in Do Luong district has delievered free medical checks for 200 underpreviliged clients and their families. Each female client is entitled to a health check of 200,000 VND including: general health examination, abdominal ultrasound, pelvic examination, and free medicine giveaways.

From now until the end of November, 2013, , TYM will continue to deliver free health checks to clients of 9 other provinces where TYM is operating, with an estimated total number of beneficiary members at 4700 people and a budget of over 1 billion VND.

Hopefully, these meaningful gifts would assist our female clients and their families in overcoming difficulties, soon stabilizing their lives and enjoying good health to sustain their business and to care for their families…
