To celebrate 104 years of International Women’s Day, the March 8th, TYM, in partnership with Vietnam Women’s Museum, will organize the exhibition “Market’s Stories” and “Traditional Market”. The event is intended to raise the community’s awareness about the role of traditional markets for urban citizens, thus encouraging people to join in sustaining traditional markets, to contribute to the economic development, to enhance the physical and mental health for all population groups.
With such a view, the exhibition “Market’s Stories” will share the memories of “old markets”, the reality of “today’s markets” and for the aspirations for “future markets” through the archive pictures, the various multi-dimensional voices of people, of sellers and customers in the markets. “Traditional Market” is a truthful reproduction of “old markets” and “today’s markets” through a supply of safe, quality and clean products in order to show the community’s desires about the ideal model of market for the future.
“Traditional Market” held by TYM will introduce typical products of TYM’s members from different areas. With almost 40 common and essential items for daily life, such as vegetables, dried food, handcraft products and all specialties ,“Traditional Market” not only brings to consumers trustworthy, quality and special products but also creates opportunities for poor and hard-working women to connect with the market, to raise income and to improve their living quality.
“Market’s stories” and “Rural market” will take place at Vietnam women Museum, 36th Ly Thuong Kiet street, Hoan Kiem, Ha Noi.
Time: “Market’s stories” : From 6th to 15th on March; “Rural market” : From 6th to 9th on March.
