In 2012, in the occasion of 82 year anniversary of establishment of Vietnam Women’s Union and the 20th anniversary of the founding of Tinh Thuong Fund (1992-2012), an exciting competition was launched and spreaded all over TYM, to all centers and to all members since the beginning of that year.
To honour TYM’s 20th Anniversaty, in early 2012TYM’s members have together contributed in a competition to mobilize voluntary savings. Since July they also raised contributions for “charitable houses” for needy members. Now they have been eager to join another competition – “the competition for good members” at all levels since July 2012.
“The competition for good members” was held at 3 levels including commune/ward/town and district/city/town and central levels. There were 1,819 commune-level teams, 215 district-level teams, and 13 teams of 17 branches who participated in the Central competition. Right after the competition was launched, regardless of busy time for business and harvests, nearly 80 thousand members of TYM at 38 districts of 10 provinces were eager to practice and prepare for performances to achieve the highest results in the upcoming competition.
On August 3, 2012, the first commune-level competition was held at Phuc Yen branch. The contest was successful and kept many good impression on the audience. This was really a festival for women of TYM in Ngoc Thach commune and Dong Xuan ward. As a result, the performance of the team representing the center 33 of Phuc Yen branch won the first prize, and assigned to join the district-level competition.
The success of the first competition was an encouragement for all TYM’s and VWU’s officers in the preparation for the competition, and also a great promotion for all women members of TYM – who were eager to practice and prepare for the competition. Let us wish “the competition for good members” of all levels a resounding success!
